Hormann provides a light enough touch to make the proceedings palatable, if not quite enjoyable.. It sounds like gay porn, but it's actually a delightful romantic comedy from Germany.. A by-the-numbers ensemble dramedy that hits every underdog and gay-fish- out-of-water cliche on the nose.. Guys and Balls is an inventory of such cliches, but at least they're trotted out with a modicum of proficiency.. It's surefire entertainment: loopy and predictable, but tremendously likable..
