I like this film in part because it doesn't go full-cornball until the last quarter, and along the way, it actually finds ways to make everyone on-screen a human being.. It's one thing for a romantic comedy to be predictable -- they all end at the same destination, after all. But it's quite another thing to be predictable at every twist and turn of the story.. They should have called it Gutterball.. Latifah has talent and personality to spare, so it would be great to see her taking on more roman...
